What is Concordia ?

Concordia  is  a Spanish word for one heart or harmony .

Concordia Consumers Universe refers to the self help program initiated  by Koffi Dossa in the second half of the year 2020 to alleviate hunger , malnutrition and extreme poverty in Africa and other third world countries in the diaspora..

Why Concordia Consumers Universe?

The problem.

In sub-Saharan Africa and other third world countries , people spend the highest  percentage of their income on food.

As result other needs are left unattended because of lack of money.

Despite the fact that so much of the income goes into feeding , hunger and malnutrition remain the major problems facing every home.

The say that we only work for the stomach, accurately  describes the situation millions of individuals experience daily.

How we understand the problem.

CCU believes  that the high price of food and other daily consumables  is the actual cause of the hardship the average African and those living  in third countries are exposed to.

This high price is as result of the the long and interminable chain between the producer/importer and the consumer.

Our Solution.

CCU  sees consumers coming together as a cooperative or as a  self help group will be financially strong enough to bypass all middle men to deal directly with the producer . This will  reduce the cost of their desired commodities.

How Concordia implements this concept.

Every member of Concordia pays a quarterly subscription of $10.00  and takes food items worth $8.00 every month for 3months.

To qualify for the monthly food items , the member must purchase food items, soap and toiletry from Concordia provision shop to the tune of $8.00 with 7% discount.

NB.The member is to renew his subscription before he is given his 3rd package.

For this 9 months of its business  Concordia has attracted 310 members.

and continues to appeal to many people.
